Turn your brand idea into a custom skincare formulation brief with considered ingredients, texture and performance objectives.
Define What the Product Should Feel Like
Describe the sensory experience: light or rich, fast-spreading or cushiony, matte or luminous, fragranced or fragrance-free. Useful reference products can help explain your preferences, but a reference does not grant permission to reproduce another company’s formula or claims.
State your intended user and market. Ingredient preferences, exclusions and commercial positioning should be discussed early because they can affect the development route.
Evaluate More Than the First Impression
Texture is one part of the decision. Discuss the required stability, microbiological and packaging-compatibility evaluations for the final formula and pack. Testing plans and acceptance criteria should be agreed before approval.
Record sample versions and consolidate feedback so each adjustment has a clear purpose. A change to fragrance, viscosity, ingredients or packaging can affect the evaluation work that needs to be repeated.
Confirm Rights and Responsibilities
Ask who owns the formula, how documentation may be used and whether exclusivity is available under the proposed agreement. Development services and the permission to commercialize a product should be explained clearly.
